“Percussí o no & Cumie” create a powerful scene, full of rhythms and peculiar, penetrating and captivating sounds — through songs and dances from around the world, embodied by singer, dancer and percussionist, Cumie (kyu-mee).

The show is a journey of discovering cultures and windows into time, through perfectly chosen songs and instruments that inspire curiosity in both children and adults alike. Percussí o no’s rhythms and lyrics are dynamic – sparking the listener to discover a world of sensations. Our concerts can be enjoyed purely by listening, and the public can also choose to participate in the creation of the rhythms.
Percussí o no & Cumie are world class performers, who also enjoy teaching in schools, conservatories and workshop spaces. Our goal as musicians is to help create and share in the energy produced by active musical participation, and expand the understanding of cultures through the arts.
